45th Reconnaissance Squadron RC-135S Cobra Ball The original Cobra Ball patch (this is a later one) was designed by Capt. Bob Davis when he was a Tactical Coordinator (TC) on Cobra Ball I (#61-2663) in 1969. The ball and cobra on the patch are self-explanatory; the shooting star is a reference to the "Burning Star" Operations Order under which Cobra Ball missions were flown. -GWO
